Gold chains seized by Customs dept to be returned to NRI, rules Delhi HC; Customs dept takes these steps prevent future incidents

Delhi High Court: A 17 year girl's gold chains were seized by Indian customs officers at Delhi Airport on April 9, 2024 when she along with her parents landed in Delhi from United Arab Emirates (UAE). On March 27, 2025 the customs department filed an affidavit in court mentioning what interim measures they took to prevent such incidents with genuine passengers. Read more.
